Mary Robertson - Consultant Clinical Psychologist & LVS Service Manager

Mary is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with many years of experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in a range of contexts both locally and internationally.

Dr Deirdre MacManus - Consultant Psychiatrist & LVS Clinical Lead

Deirdre is a consultant psychiatrist and senior clinical lecturer at King’s College London. She is experienced in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health problems from mild to severe, with particular expertise in assessing and treating individuals who have served in the military. She has a special interest in military mental health research and has carried out extensive research into the impact of service on health and well-being of military personnel. She has published widely in this area.

Dr Sue Ferrier - Lead Clinical Psychologist Prison In-Reach Service & LVS Service Co-ordinator

Sue is a chartered Clinical Psychologist with many years experience of treating a wide range of psychological difficulties from mild to complex presentations including dual diagnosis. She has specialist training in trauma focused therapy, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing.

Cass McLaughlin - Clinical Nurse Specialist

Cass is a registered nurse with 24 years’ experience in Community Psychiatric Nursing and NHS management. She is a Commissioned Officer with 256 Field Hospital London (V) and has deployed to Iraq and Bosnia.

Joanna Wise – Honorary Trainee Counselling Psychologist

Coming from a military family, Joanna is completing her doctoral research and clinical practice specialising in trauma whilst on placement at the London Veterans Service. She is a Cognitive Analytic Therapy practitioner, and qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

Trish Sullivan - LVS Administrator

Trish is an experienced administrator and has been with the LVS since its inception. She is the first point of contact for telephone queries

Angela Smith - Clinical Nurse Specialist, HMPs Thameside and Brixton

Angela is a registered mental health nurse who has extensive experience working in the mental health field with offenders. Angela set up and ran our first prison in-reach pilot at HMP Wandsworth, funded by NHS England.

Raquel Williams – Clinical Nurse Specialist, HMP YOI Isis

Raquel is a registered mental health nurse with experience working in a wide range of mental health settings, within acute and community services.

We also have Assistant Psychologists who provide support to the team.
